"Landscape management involves the systematic and extended care of existing landscaped areas and other related outdoor elements . It begins when the very first tree or shrub is planted on a property and remains an important focus in the sustainability of the landscaping investment and of the general upkeep of the property." -

At Community Landscape Management, we realize that you have a choice when it comes to choosing a landscape company. We strive to make the choice an easy one. With so many companies to chose from, it is important for consumers to ask questions and make comparisons between companies. To assist you in making this comparison, we have listed many factors that you should consider when selecting a landscape company and how our company measures up.

Included Services, Freebies, and Lower Prices: Comparing Apples to Apples. We provide a no-hassle, all inclusive plant and turf care program on most of our properties. Many other companies provide a basic service package, then attempt to sell you additional services such as fertilizing, tree-staking, aerating, herbicide application, and seasonal flower changes. We believe that landscaping care is mostly an all-inclusive service and we don't believe that you should be charged for the services that are required to obtain optimal landscape health. We follow industry recognized standards and practices for landscape care. All of these necessary services are included in the base rate. We never charge extra for fertilizing, aerating, herbicide application for weed control, plant/tree pest control, tree trimming (up to 12"), tree staking, or seasonal flower changes. We also offer a free plant replacement allowance for most properties. Furthermore, our all-inclusive service prices are often lower than the competition's basic prices. Not many other landscape companies will offer such amenities for the same or lower prices.

Experience: We have more than a decade of landscaping experience from the designing, planning, and installation phases, to the finish, sustaining, and maintenance stages. We are experienced in caring for the landscaped areas of single family homes, multi-family dwellings, commercial/retail centers, public common areas and parks. We are knowledgeable on regional plant and tree selection, growing characteristics, and the proper care and maintenance of each.

Many landscape maintenance companies are little more than a few guys who decided to grab a lawn mower one day and call themselves landscapers. We are a fully-licensed landscape contactor that specializes the care and management of existing landscape elements. We also have an "A" rating with Angie's List.

Pricing: We utilize a common sense pricing approach that is based on square foot of landscaped area of the property to be cared for. Many other landscape companies use little or no pricing structure at all and often charge or quote whatever they feel like at the time. This means that you could be paying the same landscape company more to services your property than your neighbor is paying for a property of the same size and similarities.

Licensing/Bonding: We are a fully-licensed landscape contractor. We are registered with the Nevada Secretary of State and we hold a C-10 Landscape Contractors license with the Nevada State Contractors board. We are also listed with Dunn and Bradstreet. Many other landscape maintenance companies are NOT licensed by the Nevada State Contractors Board. Some of these companies try to avoid the licensing requirements of the state by calling themselves a "Handy Man". Please be careful of unlicensed landscape companies or those companies who claim the "handyman" exemption as they are often unknowledgeable, doing work beyond their scope, or doing business illegally. Please contact the Nevada State Contractors Board for more information.

Crews: Our knowledgeable crews are more professional and smaller in size. This approach has proven to show that the crew will develop a better familiarity with the property and will display more professionalism, pride, and a sense of ownership when caring for a property. With a smaller, more intimate crew, more productive work time is spent on the property. Most other landscape companies will send out a large crew to bombard the property with the goal to be in and out in 30 minutes or less. A larger crew is harder to control and to hold accountable for professionalism and quality standards.

We voluntarily utilize the Department of Homeland Security E-Verify program for Employment Eligibility Verification to determine the eligibility of our employee to work in the United States. This helps insure compliance with federal employment laws and to help us avoid the employment of illegal or undocumented workers. There are very few landscape companies willing to do this.

Appearances: We follow a professional dress code. Our crews are uniformed and wear all OSHA approved personal protective gear. Our vehicles are all clean, well-maintained, and display our company name, logo, and license number in a professional manner. Many other landscape companies will send out a few ragged-looked guys in an old pickup truck. These individuals often have little or no concern for appearances or safety.

Professional Affiliation: Community Landscape Management is a member of the Professional Grounds Management Society and the American Landscape Maintenance Association. Both of these national organizations provide insight and set standards related to landscape care practices. Additionally, our staff holds many industry certifications including certified grounds management, irrigation systems certifications, local water authority, and air quality management certifications.
